Single Butterfly Artwork Nº65

£200.00

This single butterfly artwork is created from a colourful, vintage geological survey map of the county of Surrey in south east England. The towns of Kingswood, Caterham, Bletchingley and Redhill are all shown as they appeared a century ago. Vivid curved bands of green and blue make this a particularly striking and interesting piece.

Oak framed butterfly artwork created from an original vintage map

The artwork is framed in a solid french oak cabinet, measuring 283 x 283 x 130mm, which has been hand-made at our workshop in Essex, England. On the reverse of the cabinet you’ll find a maker’s plate bearing a unique identification number that guarantees the authenticity of your one-off artwork. A sturdy hanging bracket of our own design enables your artwork to fit flush against the wall with no visible fixings.

The butterfly series made its debut at Medcalf Gallery in London’s Exmouth Market 10 years ago. That first exhibition in 2007 resulted in national press coverage and some high profile commissions for further pieces. Artworks in this series have since been widely exhibited in Europe as well as the US and Japan. Creator Joseph Warren continues to expanded the catalogue which includes a range of sizes and configurations and welcomes commissions for personalised butterfly artworks.

Delivery of this artwork is free to any UK location. Postage and packing to other destinations is calculated at checkout prior to payment.
